Edit: You can have the XJR version or the alpina B7 e65

E65 750Li

Oooh, that's tough. It depends if it's an XJR/Supercharged. If not, while the Jaaag looks better, I'd take the BMW.

Which one can you get with a Carmax warranty?

Of these I'd get the Bimmer. If it was today, I'd get the equivalent Jag.

Both are too old now, the chances of carmax having both on the lot is minimal. I see mostly f01s 7 series there

XJ350. I've always liked them. I think they're more distinctive and the Alpina has no manual option so the automatic only isn't such an issue.

The Jag does have a hood ornament and is built ford tough, and no iDrive!

Still, I'd rather have this:

I like ford parts sharing between them. I've been shopping around for X300s, X308s and I like the parts pricing. Its a little cheaper than owning a german car. Less engine issues than I would thought.

The xj is more regal than the 7. The only gripe besides the engine issues of the e65 is that the dash is not tilted towards the driver.

Yeah. I dunno if the more power matters. More weight in the Alpina, isn't there? Or is it aluminum too?

I got to drive one of these and it is by far the best luxury car I've felt! Even better than a 750Li I drove!

No the e65 is a steel body, some bits and pieces are aluminum.
